Tungsten

Tungsten is nearly as dense as gold and keeps its strength at temperatures where steel has long since melted. Most of it goes into cemented carbide for cutting and mining tools; the rest into heavy alloys, high-speed steels, welding electrodes, lighting and electronics.

Tungsten is supplied by both desks, US and EU: rod, bar, wire and powder, tungsten heavy alloy, and cemented carbide in solid and insert form. Purity, or carbide and binder content, is confirmed by assay before shipment.
