304 (18/8) is the volume grade; 316 carries molybdenum and prices above it. Because 430 and 201 look identical to the eye and are worth substantially less, every lot we ship is checked with a handheld analyser and its grade is written into the contract.

Our EU desk supplies CrNi 304, CrNiMo 316 and 430, austenitic and alloyed scrap, chromium metal, and duplex and heat-resistant grades to stainless melt shops and alloy producers.
